Nytt album från The Sweptaways: Framtiden
Nyskriven originalmusik på tioårsjubilerande popkören The
Sweptaways tredje album.
Till sitt tredje album har popkören The Sweptaways
skrivit egna texter – ”låtar av oss, för oss, om oss” – som tolkats i nyskriven
originalmusik av svenska artister och kompositörer som Sara Wilson, Saralunden
och Fredrik Gran.
Framtiden släpps på den egna etiketten Ooh Aah Records
& Publishing, som samtidigt även publicerar boken The Sweptaways song book
– noter, låttexter och bilder från The Sweptaways tio år.

THE SWEPTAWAYS
The Sweptaways är tjugo kvinnor som sjunger körpop,
iförda färgkoordinerad eller tematisk kostym. Den Stockholmsbaserade gruppen
har funnits sedan 2003, och har släppt två album och ett antal ep:ar sedan 2006. The
Sweptaways har samarbetat med artister som Robyn, Howlin’ Pelle, Jens Lekman
och Marit Bergman, samt uppträtt på svenska musikscener, klubbar och festivaler
under tio år. Deras tredje album, Framtiden, innehåller enbart nyskriven
originalmusik till körens egna texter, och släpps på den egna etiketten Ooh Aah
Records & Publishing.

New
album from the Sweptaways: Framtiden
New
original music on the third album from the pop choir The Sweptaways as they
celebrate their 10th anniversary.
For
their third album The Sweptaways have written their own lyrics – ”lyrics by us,
for us and about us” – brought to life
through new original music by Swedish artists and composers such as Sara
Wilson, Saralunden and Fredrik Gran.
Framtiden
will be released on December 2nd on The Sweptaways’ own label Ooh Aah Records
& Publishing. In conjunction with the album, the label will also release
The Sweptaways song book – a book of original scores, lyrics and photos from
The Sweptaways’ ten year period as a group.

THE
SWEPTAWAYS
The
Sweptaways are 20 women singing choir pop songs, dressed in colour coordinated
or themed costumes. The Stockholm-based choir was formed in 2003 and since 2006
the group has released two albums and a number of EPs. The Sweptaways have
collaborated with artists such as Robyn, Howlin’ Pelle, Jens Lekman and Marit
Bergman as well as performed at numerous Swedish venues and festivals over the
course of ten years. Their third album Framtiden will be released on December
2nd 2013 on their own label Ooh Aah Records & Publishing.
